AVOCADO OIL PRODUCTION PROCESS:

I. Pre-treatment Section (Core: Ensure Raw Material Purity)

✅ Raw Material Sorting

Screen avocados manually or with a color sorter to remove rotten, moldy and unripe fruits, retaining only those with plump flesh and moderate ripeness.

Purpose: Prevent harmful substances such as aflatoxin from moldy raw materials.

✅ Cleaning and Decontamination

Use a brush cleaning machine or high-pressure spray cleaning machine to remove sediment, dust and pesticide residues on the avocado surface.

Bubble cleaning technology can be combined to improve cleanliness, and drain water after cleaning.

✅ Peeling and Pitting

Small production lines: Manual peeling and pitting; Large production lines: Automatic avocado peeling and pitting machine to separate flesh, peel and pit.

✅ Crushing and Pulping

Crush avocado flesh into small pieces with a crusher, then grind into fine pulp with a colloid mill.

The pulp fineness should be controlled at 50-80 mesh to increase the contact area between flesh and oil pressing equipment and improve oil extraction efficiency.

✅ Drying and Dehydration

Send the pulp to a vacuum dryer or belt dryer, control the temperature ≤ 40℃ (required by cold-pressing process), and reduce the moisture content to ≤ 10%.

Excessively high moisture will cause emulsification during oil pressing, reduce oil yield and increase subsequent refining difficulty.

II. OIL EXTRACTION SECTION 

Cold-pressing Extraction (Suitable for Virgin Edible Grade/Cosmetic Grade Avocado Oil)

✅ Low-temperature Pressing

Send the dried pulp to a hydraulic cold press or screw cold press, with the pressing pressure controlled at 30-50MPa.

Hydraulic cold presses are suitable for small-batch high-end products, while screw cold presses are suitable for continuous operation of medium and large production lines.

✅ Crude Oil Filtration

Separate the mixed oil (crude oil + flesh residue) after pressing through a plate and frame filter or bag filter to obtain crude oil.

The filtered crude oil is light green with natural avocado aroma, which can be directly sold as virgin avocado oil (meeting relevant standards).
