Cocoa butter deodorization tank is specialized refining equipment that uses high-temperature steam distillation under vacuum to remove strong flavors, odors, and free fatty acids (FFAs), creating a neutral, off-white butter ideal for cosmetics, chocolate, and baking. 

Working Principle：

The deodorization tank mainly uses the principle of steam distillation. Under vacuum conditions, steam is introduced into the cocoa butter. Since the vapor pressure of odoriferous substances in cocoa butter is higher than that of triglycerides, the odoriferous substances are vaporized and escape with the steam, thereby achieving the purpose of deodorization.

Question 3-Product Display

DEODORIZATION PROCESS:

✅ Loading: De-aerated, bleached cocoa butter is pumped into the evacuated deodorizer.

✅ Deodorization: The butter is heated to the target temperature (e.g., 230°C) under full vacuum. Stripping steam is vigorously sparged through the oil for a set time (2-4 hours, depending on batch size and specs). This is the main stripping period.

✅ Cooling : Steam is stopped, and the oil is cooled via the internal cooling coil while still under vacuum.

✅ Discharge : The refined, deodorized cocoa butter is pumped out under vacuum to a storage tank.
